Book Title: I Funny
Author: James Patterson
Join Jamie Grimm, a normal middle schooler with a wheelchair, and according to him, a twisted life, as he embarks on his journey to becoming the Planet’s Funniest Kid. Read this in I Funny by James Patterson, while laughing so hard you could cry!
The first time I looked at this book, I was waiting to catch a flight to Cancun, Mexico, and I had been looking around at a bookstore in Miami International Airport. The next thing I knew, I had people staring at me while I laughed way too hard while waiting at my gate for the plane. I Funny is a book for everyone, especially someone feeling down, or just bored. Not only is it funny, but it’s gripping, dramatic, and just describes the everyday life of a middle schooler (with paralyzed legs).
This story is the kind of story where you can really connect with the main character, even if they have an entirely different life story. This story gives you the overall definition of life. (You’ll get what I mean when you read it.)
With a cousin who’s free to bully you 24/7, three friends who always got your back, an uncle with a yo-yo doo wop restaurant, and the whole world cheering for you as a stand-up comedian, it’s pretty hard NOT to laugh!
If I had to rate this book out of 5 stars, I’d give it a 5 (Maybe even a 6!)
The only thing I have to warn readers is that it’s one of those books to read for fun and please beware of people who stare at you while you laugh too hard! (I suggest that you read this in an enclosed area like your room!)
